'Anderson' was a selection made in 1948 in Miami, Florida. The fruit is of impressive size and color, but has few attributes beyond curb appeal. A single fruit can weigh nearly four pounds and flaunt a crimson or dark red blush over a yellow base. Drawbacks include both a tendency to split on the tree and to ripen unevenly. The fruit ripens from July to August. Available through special order only.
